The Arizona Cardinals fired Steve Wilks after one season as head coach in 2018 and then replaced him with Kliff Kingsbury in 2019.
Apparently Kingsbury experienced a lot of anxiety early in the 2019 season thinking about his job security with the team, according to comments he made recently on the Ryen Russillo podcast.
Kingsbury told the podcast that he thought he might not last the first month of the season due to the team's offensive struggles in his first games as coach of the Cardinals.
Kingsbury is considered an offensive genius and thought he might have a short tenure with the club if he couldn't get the offense to produce.
