Jerraud Powers agrees to deal with Ravens

It became official on Friday: the Cardinals will have new starters at two of their four secondary spots this season.

Cornerback Jerraud Powers, who started 39 of 48 regular-season games the last three years, agreed to a one-year deal with the Ravens, according to multiple reports.

The Cardinals were interested in re-signing Powers before the 2015 season, but the two sides were never close to a deal. That situation didn’t change this off-season, although other teams weren’t clamoring for Powers’ services, either. That’s why he ended up signing a one-year deal in May.

Justin Bethel is likely to open training camp as Powers’ replacement, and the team doesn’t have much experience behind him.
