Mount Everest, the world’s tallest mountain at 29,029 feet, is 8,030 miles from Phoenix, and Shane Zanath was there.
A physical therapist from Scottsdale, Zanath has a passion for adventure and photography, but no matter where his travels took him, his lifelong love for the Arizona Cardinals kept him connected to home.
That was never more apparent than on his October trek to Everest Base Camp in Nepal. Among the essential items needed for his two-week hike, Zanath carried a Cardinals flag with him.
“It’s common to bring a flag with you along the trek to Everest Base Camp,” Zanath said.
