Flash back to the Thursday Night Football game on December 11, 2014, that featured an NFC West matchup of the 10-3 Arizona Cardinals versus the 6-7 St. Louis Rams. The Rams, under head coach Jeff Fisher, had just won back-to-back games over the Oakland Raiders and Washington Redskins by a combined score of 76-0. And despite the fact that Cardinals, under head coach Bruce Arians were one of only 4 teams in the NFL that had notched 10 or more wins, the Rams were favored at home by 5 1⁄2 points.
That point spread infuriated Bruce Arians, to the point that when the Cardinals won a defensive slugfest over the Rams 12-6 in that nationally televised TNF contest, Arians stormed to the post-game podium and said, “I love it when nobody says you have a chance to win.
