The Rams were the first team to score in the second half, as quarterback Jared Goff tossed his second touchdown pass of the game to receiver Sammy Watkins to give Los Angeles a 26-13 lead over the Cardinals in the third quarter.
Arizona failed to score on its first two possessions of the half, and the Rams found the end zone on their second drive. The possession lasted six plays and went 30 yards over a course of three minutes.
The Rams held a 13-point lead over the Cardinals with 5:07 left in the third quarter.
Rams own 19-13 halftime lead
Trailing 16-0 at the end of the first quarter, the Cardinals responded to score 13 unanswered points in the second before the Rams kicked a late field goal to trim their deficit to 19-13 at halftime in Sunday’s game at University of Phoenix Stadium.
