Not even the fifth time was the charm for the Cardinals offense, as they once again were forced to settle for a field goal in their fifth red zone trip of the game. The Redskins still held a 14-12 lead early in the third quarter.
The Cardinals’ Budda Baker recovered a live ball on the kickoff to give Arizona possession at the Washington 22-yard line. But the Cardinals gained just six yards before asking kicker Phil Dawson to kick his fourth field goal, which he did.
Dawson has scored the last 27 points for the Cardinals over the last three games.
