Days after the Cardinals lost Bruce Arians and Carson Palmer to retirement, former Cardinal Rashad Johnson announced his retirement from the NFL on twitter today.
Although Rashad Johnson played for the Tennessee Titans in 2016 and was out of the NFL this season, he will be most remembered by his playing days as an Arizona Cardinal.
The Arizona Cardinals selected Johnson in the third round of the 2009 NFL Draft. Since being drafted, he has accumulated 382 tackles, 15 interceptions, 31 pass defensed, and returned three interceptions for touchdowns.
He wasn’t the biggest name in the NFL but certainly was a beloved player across the league.
