Cardinals running back David Johnson continues to have a tremendous 2016 season, Despite the fact that things haven’t gone as planned for the team, individually, he has excelled, and Sunday was no different. For his efforts against the Redskins have earned him an NFC Player of the Week honor.
In a game that the Cardinals had to have, if they wanted to maintain playoff hopes, Johnson led the way. He rushed for 84 yards and a touchdown on nine carries, and added another 91 yards and a touchdown receiving. His yardage totals led the team in both categories, and his rushing yards put him over 1,000 on the year.
