Following the initial release of the Cardinals “final” 53 man roster, it’s easy to wince at some of the names still remaining. The good news is that the Cardinals famously own the number one waiver claim and can use it to address notable holes at cornerback, offensive tackle and defensive line. I’d expect a fully of moves within the next 24-48 hours, both via waiver claims and veteran free agent visits. With that being said, here are three waiver claims I’d make following Saturday’s trim to 53.
One of the biggest surprise cuts of the day came in the form of year two defensive tackle John Franklin-Myers who (as a fourth round rookie) netted three sacks (including one in the Super Bowl against Tom Brady).
