As a free agent, Chris Johnson looked around for other opportunities. But the running back always leaned toward returning to the Cardinals.
“It was a couple of things that came up, but I sat and thought about it and at the end of the day the best decision was to stay here,” said Johnson, who officially signed his one-year contract Tuesday. “Somewhere I am familiar. (It was) something we started, this organization and this team, and got so far and I wanted to come back and finish.”
Johnson said the Patriots reached out to him with interest and he visited the Dolphins, “but at the end of the day, I just
felt like this was the best spot,” Johnson said.
