Well, the San Francisco 49ers have turned to Chip Kelly. After firing Jim Harbaugh a year ago and turning to Jim Tomsula, the team moved on from Tomsula and has brought in another colorful coach to the NFC West. Chip Kelly is getting a four-year, $24 million deal to turn around the Niners.
Kelly had been the head coach of the Philadelphia Eagles for three seasons. He led the team to the playoffs in 2013, but his 2014 and 2015 seasons were marked with on-field failures and questionable personnel decisions.
He reportedly created a "cancerous" environment in Philly, jettisoning the team's best talent and not building trust with the players who stayed.
