The Cardinals designated safety Tyvon Branch as their player to return from injured reserve on Wednesday.
Branch has 22 tackles and a pair of passes defensed in four games this season. He must practice for two weeks, so the first game in which he could play is against Washington on Dec. 4.
Branch's return means the season is over for running back Chris Johnson and linebacker Alani Fua. Johnson and Fua were candidates to return from IR.
Branch and Johnson were placed on injured reserve with hernias on Oct. 4. Fua was placed on IR the week before with a knee injury.
