Cardinals' worst first-round NFL draft blunders

Last week, CBSsports.com examined the worst first-round draft pick for each NFL team since 1990. For the Cardinals, defensive end Andre Wadsworth, the third overall pick in 1998, received the dubious designation.

I don't think Wadsworth even belongs in the top five blunders the Cardinals have made in the first round over the last 25 years.

He played only three seasons, but that was due to knee injuries and multiple surgeries. There was not a team in the NFL that would have passed on Wadsworth with the third overall pick. The comparisons to Bruce Smith at the time were over the top, but Wadsworth was as sure a thing as there was in the draft that year.
