The Cardinals trimmed their roster to 80 players on Sunday with the release of the following 10 players: quarterback Drew Anderson, linebacker Vontarrius Dora, defensive lineman T.J. Carter, tight end Parker Houston, offensive linemen Jackson Dennis and Drew Dickenson, wide receivers Shane Leatherbury and Devin Phelps and cornerbacks Jarren Williams and Bejour Wilson.
All but Anderson and Dora were undrafted rookie free agents this year who signed with the team on April 27.
Anderson, a second-year pro from Murray State, was expected to compete with free-agent addition Chris Streveler for the third-string spot at quarterback. Dora, who has spent parts of the past three seasons with the Cardinals, was a backup candidate at outside linebacker.
