Kent Somers of the Arizona Republic reports that the Cardinals will pursue signing veteran P Andy Lee now that he’s been released by the Panthers.
A report from a few days ago mentioned that the Cardinals were interested in possibly trading for Lee, so this shouldn’t come as a big surprise.
Lee, 35, is a former sixth-round pick of the 49ers back in 2004. After 11 seasons in San Francisco, he was traded to the Browns and spent a year in Cleveland.
Interestingly enough, the Browns traded Lee to the Panthers for a 2017 seventh-round pick.
