Cardinals Sign Three Tryout Players

The Cardinals have signed another quarterback.

Winston-Salem State’s Phillip Sims, who worked out with the team on a tryout basis during last weekend’s rookie minicamp, was one of three tryout players the Cards decided to keep after the three days’ worth of work.

The Cardinals also decided to keep a pair of safeties who had been trying out: Tiffen’s Brandon Person, and Findlay’s Harold Jones-Quartey. To make room for the three, the Cardinals released tackle Kelvin Palmer, wide receiver Travis Harvey and cornerback Ross Weaver.

Sims joins a crowded quarterbacks room, which already had Carson Palmer, Drew Stanton, Logan Thomas and Chandler Harnish.
