Driskel was drafted by the 49ers in the sixth round of the 2016 draft, however, he never played a single snap in San Francisco. Instead, he played one season with the Bengals, one with the Lions, and one with the Broncos, before playing two with the Texans from 2021–2023.
The 29-year-old holds a 1-9 record as a starting quarterback, but he did have some sparks in 2019.
