When the Cardinals' training complex in south Tempe opened in 1990, it was considered state of the art.
But back then, art's state didn’t include everyone owning a cell phone, or loading a playbook on a computer tablet, or practicing indoors or an intense focus on the value of nutrition, as well as rest and recovery.
All those elements are part of life in the NFL today, and after a $15 million renovation and expansion completed this summer, the facility is again among the best in the NFL, team president Michael Bidwill said.
