Cardinals coach Bruce Arians has said numerous times he believes in giving people second chances.
The team proved that again by selecting Mississippi defensive linemen Robert Nkemdiche in the first round.
Scouts rated Nkemdiche as one of the most talented players in the draft, but he also raised numerous red flags. He was involved with some off-field incidents while in college. He was suspended for the Sugar Bowl when he was arrested after falling 15 feet out of a hotel window. Police found marijuana in the room.
On the field, Nkemdiche can be a dominant player, reminding some scouts of Eric Swann, a former defensive tackle for the Cardinals.
