Arizona Cardinals rookie wide receiver Hakeem Butler will not play anymore this preseason, according to coach Kliff Kingsbury.
The fourth-round draft pick has a broken hand, according to NFL Network's Ian Rapoport, and could end up on injured reserve.
"I think it's too early to tell, but if that's the direction it has to go, then obviously that's unfortunate," Kingsbury said Tuesday. "We wouldn't be able to develop him like we wanted."
While this could somewhat help Kingsbury as far as roster decisions go, he noted how hard it is to lose someone of Butler's size and speed.
