Over the past month or so, several factors combined to form the perception that Cardinals rookie quarterback Josh Rosen narrowed the gap between himself and Sam Bradford, the starter.
In reality, little, if anything, has changed since the evening of April 26 when the Cardinals drafted Rosen 10th overall.
Bradford, who signed a two-year deal in free agency, remains the starter.
Rosen will start for the Cardinals one day, but odds are it won’t be Sept. 9 when they open the season against Washington.
So what led to the idea that Rosen was gaining on Bradford, even though the Cardinals have yet to don pads beyond helmets?
