Ten years ago, receiver Larry Fitzgerald would not have been sitting at his locker after the final practice of the Cardinals’ off week.
But there he was on Wednesday as the players started a five-day vacation.
“Ten years ago, I’d have been on the first thing smoking to Vegas,” said Fitzgerald, 32. “Now, my son has a baseball game this afternoon. Family commitments. (It’s) a little bit different when you’re 20, 21 years old."
Coach Bruce Arians was kind to his players this week. They practiced only once, on Tuesday, and the veterans didn’t do much.
