I suppose the most optimistic of Cardinals fans could view the release of two drafted offensive linemen, guard/center Evan Boehm and tackle Will Holden, on Sunday as signs that management is willing to admit mistakes.
But the bigger problem is their departures highlight that General Manager Steve Keim and staff continue to have problems drafting an offensive lineman who can play.
From 2013 through 2017, Keim drafted seven offensive linemen. Only one, starting left tackle D.J. Humphries, remains on the 53-man roster.
Keim’s first pick as general manager, Jonathan Cooper, was just cut by his fifth team, the 49ers, this weekend.
