The Cardinals released running backs Marion Grice and Robert Hughes on Friday.
Both spent time on the team’s practice squad in 2015 and re-signed on Jan. 26. Grice and Hughes were each part of the Cardinals’ active roster in 2014.
Grice had 15 carries for 41 yards and a touchdown that year and scored in the Cardinals’ playoff loss to the Panthers. He played collegiately at Arizona State. Hughes contributed mostly as a blocker and on special teams. He was beaten out by Stepfan Taylor for the Cardinals’ fourth running back spot in training camp last year.
