No one puts a ton of thought and consideration into an early depth chart. And some designations are head scratchers.
For instance, Tyrann Mathieu and Tony Jefferson are listed as the starting safeties, even though Rashad Johnson and Deonne Bucannon have lined up with the first team all camp.
The rest of the depth chart appears to match the way players lined up in the first week of training camp.
