The Cardinals received good news on the injury front, with two important defensive players avoiding problems that could meant missing considerable time, Coach Bruce Arians said.
Starting defensive tackle Corey Peters has plantar fasciitis, not another Achilles injury as first feared. It’s difficult to say how long Peters will be out, but he is hopeful that it will be some time during training camp.

Backup inside linebacker Alani Fua does not have a serious knee injury, as first feared. He has a loose piece of cartilage, but he should be able to return within five days, he said.
