The Arizona Cardinals made a couple of moves Wednesday to shape the defensive side of the roster.
The team has cut cornerback Robert Alford, per a report from ESPN's Field Yates. Alford signed a three-year contract with the Cardinals in February 2019, but spent each of the last two seasons on the injured reserve, suffering back-to-back injuries during training camp.
Meanwhile, the Cardinals are re-signing linebacker Tanner Vallejo to two-year deal, per a report from NFL Network's Ian Rapoport on Wednesday.
Rapoport reported that it is a $4.1 million deal, "bringing back the core special teamer who will also have a role as a (linebacker) in (defensive coordinator) Vance Joseph’s defense.
