If the Cardinals happen to find themselves trailing late in Sunday’s NFC Championship Game against the Carolina Panthers, you can probably be sure the first thing Bruce Arians is going to do is take a quick glance at quarterback Carson Palmer’s face.
That’s what the Cardinals coach did last Saturday night the moment right after Aaron Rodgers’ improbable Hail Mary touchdown pass to Jeff Janis tied the score on the last play of regulation and sent the divisional playoff game into overtime.
“I turned around and the first face I saw was Carson’s, and he was pissed,” Arians said.
