The Cardinals announced Monday that they have placed the transition tag on running back Kenyan Drake.
Drake can negotiate a long-term contract with other teams through July 22. The Cardinals would have right-of-first-refusal on any offer he receives from another team, but would not receive compensation if the contract is not matched.
In eight games with the Cardinals, Drake led Arizona with 643 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns on 123 carries. He was traded from Miami mid-season.
