The Arizona Cardinals' Patrick Peterson has joined the throng of sports figures weighing in on the death of George Floyd.
Peterson, a cornerback who has played with the Cardinals since he was drafted by the team in 2011, tweeted that “I have a responsibility to share my thoughts as an influential black man in America.
He also wrote: “WE NEED & DEMAND CHANGE!!”
An eight-time Pro Bowler, Peterson said he had waited to share his thoughts to control his anger in the aftermath of Floyd's death.
