Cardinals coach Bruce Arians has been particularly pleased with what he’s seen recently out of second-year running back D.J. Foster, the former Arizona State standout who won a Super Bowl ring last season as a rookie with the Patriots.
Foster has stepped in surprisingly well as the team’s new third-down back in place of Andre Ellington, who was released. He also came up with a huge, highlight-reel reception last Sunday to help the Cardinals get in position for Phil Dawson to kick the game-winning, 57-yard field goal against the Jaguars.
“Getting better and better,” Arians said.
