Cardinals starting left guard Mike Iupati suffered an injury to his left knee in practice on Tuesday and is due to undergo tests today, Coach Bruce Arians said.
After the team’s morning walk-through on Wednesday, Iupati was seen walking with a slight limp.
Iupati was the team’s primary target in free agency, signing a five-year contract worth an average of $8 million a year. The Cardinals expect Iupati and tackle Jared Veldheer to comprise a formidable left side of the line, so losing Iupati for significant time would be a blow.
Ted Larsen is Iupati’s backup.
