By all indications, the Cardinals are going to re-sign safety Tyrann Mathieu to a lucrative contract extension this summer, adding another chapter to a great comeback story.
On Monday morning, NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport reported the Cardinals and Mathieu’s agent, Tom Condon, are “deep” in negotiations on a deal that would make Mathieu the league’s highest paid safety.
