It’s Cardinals coach Bruce Arians’ custom to give his players a “Victory Monday,” essentially an extra day off, beginning with the team’s fifth victory of the season.
This season, the Cardinals expected that to start in October. Instead, it begins Monday, Dec. 5, which tells us something about how this season has gone.
“That’s pretty bad, man,” receiver Larry Fitzgerald said. “But it’s great to get one, I’m telling you.”
In beating Washington 31-23 Sunday at University of Phoenix Stadium, the Cardinals succeeded in areas in which they have failed most of this season.
