In 2004, at the NFL scouting combine in Indianapolis, then-Cardinals coach Dennis Green asked Auburn linebacker Karlos Dansby what he wanted to get out of football.
“I want a yellow jacket,” Dansby said, referring to the jacket Pro Football Hall of Fame members receive.
“Do you know what that’s going to take?” Green replied.
“Yeah, a lot of sacrifice and a lot of dedication,” Dansby said.
Thirteen years later, Dansby isn't surprised a bit that as an incoming rookie he already had his eyes on the league’s highest honor.
“Here we are sitting down at the combine, and I’m telling him this at a young age,” Dansby said.
