Cardinals' Jared Veldheer out for year; Tyrann Mathieu to miss 3-6 weeks

Cardinals left tackle Jared Veldheer has a torn triceps tendon in his right arm and will require surgery that will end his season.

Coach Bruce Arians confirmed the news on Monday, a day after Veldheer was injured during the Cardinals’ 30-20 loss at the Carolina Panthers.

In other injury news, Arians said safety Tyrann Mathieu could be sidelined anywhere from three to six weeks after suffering a shoulder subluxation. The injury won’t require surgery, Arians said, but he’s definitely ruling Mathieu out of the Cardinals’ next game on Nov. 13 against the visiting 49ers.
