Cardinals Game Day: Cardinals in early 9-0 hole to Rams in first quarter

Rams quarterback Jared Goff found receiver Gerald Everett for a 1-yard touchdown as the Cardinals found themselves in an early 9-0 hole in the first quarter of Sunday’s game after kicker Greg Zuerlein missed the extra point.

On the Cardinals first offensive play, quarterback Blaine Gabbert threw a pass that was intercepted by Rams safety Lamarcus Joyner and returned 46 yards into Arizona territory.

It then took Los Angeles just seven plays and 2:30 to convert their second score in the first quarter. The Rams held a 9-0 lead with 7:51 left in the first.

Rams kicker Greg Zuerlein was good from 51 yards out to give Los Angeles an early 3-0 lead over the Cardinals in the first quarter of Saturday's game at University of Phoenix Stadium.
