Cardinals could use a faster start in Buffalo

BUFFALO – If the Cardinals' offense starts slowly Sunday against the Bills, the 10 a.m. (Arizona time) kickoff can’t be blamed.

The Cardinals couldn’t score early in a night game (the Patriots) or in an afternoon game (the Buccaneers). They have not scored in the first quarter this year, and while it’s early, coach Bruce Arians is concerned.

Against the Bucs, the Cardinals tried to remedy it by opening in the no-huddle. Five plays and one first down later, Drew Butler was punting.

"We had, in the first five plays, three guys that didn’t handle it very well,” Arians said.
