The first priority of most new NFL coaches is assembling a staff, and Steve Wilks appears to have made considerable headway in his first few days as Cardinals coach.
The team has yet to make any official announcements, but according to various reports, at least seven positions have been filled.
“Number one, we’ve got to get a staff that are excellent teachers,” Wilks said in his introductory news conference on Tuesday. “That’s the most important thing to me. Guys that are outstanding communicators, that can relate to this generation. I say this all the time, even with my kids, ‘I’m going to teach everybody the same, but I’m going to coach them differently.
