The Cardinals have added a veteran cornerback to their mix.
The team claimed Tharold Simon, released by the Seahawks Tuesday, off waivers in an attempt to find some secondary help at a position where rookie Brandon Williams remains the starter across from Patrick Peterson.
To make room for Simon on the roster, the Cardinals have waived-injured linebacker Lamar Louis (quad).
Simon, who played for the Seahawks in Super Bowl XLIX at University of Phoenix Stadium, has been battling injuries since being a fifth-round pick in 2013.
At cornerback, the Cardinals also have veteran Justin Bethel – who is battling a sore foot – and Marcus Cooper, acquired in a preseason trade with the Chiefs.
