Cardinals running back Chris Johnson looked plenty fast a year ago, breaking six runs of at least 20 yards over a five-game period.
In doing so, he gave the Cardinals their first big-play threat out of the backfield in years.
As good as he was, however, Johnson didn’t feel like himself for most of last season. Taking a bullet in his trapezoid muscle in the offseason didn’t help. Neither did signing in August and suffering a hamstring strain on his second day with the Cardinals.
Johnson, 30, feels much different in this training camp. He re-signed in March and has participated in offseason training and practices.
