Cardinals edge rusher Chandler Jones will undergo surgery to repair a biceps injury and will be lost for the rest of the season, coach Kliff Kingsbury said Wednesday.
Jones, who leads the NFL with 97 sacks and 27 forced fumbles since entering the league in 2012, suffered the injury during the first half of Sunday’s 20-10 victory at the New York Jets.
Jones had an MRI exam on Tuesday, but Kingsbury wouldn’t say if Jones tore his biceps or not.
“It’s a bicep injury. I don’t know the exact medical terminology, but I know he’s got to have it surgically repaired and I think it’s a three- to four-month recovery,” Kingsbury said.
