The Arizona Cardinals made two moves Monday to bolster the same position group. They agreed to terms with safety Shawn Williams and safety Chris Banjo, each on a one-year contract.
Williams is an eight-year veteran who’s spent his entire career with the Bengals. A third-round pick out of Georgia in 2013, he has tallied 390 tackles (281 solo), 12 interceptions, three sacks, 26 passes defensed, two fumble recoveries and one forced fumble in his NFL career. He's tacked on more tackles on special teams as well, having a significant role there.
Williams, 29, has appeared in 119 games, with 61 starts.
