After a week of speculation, veteran running back Chris Johnson has finally comes to terms with the Cardinals.
The one-time 2000-yard rusher, coming off the first season of his career where he did not rush for at least 1,000 yards, agreed to a one-year deal Monday to become part of the backfield led by Andre Ellington. How he fits into the 2015 plan – whether he fits – will be determined in the balance of the preseason.
To make room on the roster, the Cardinals waived injured safety Brandon Person, who tore his ACL Saturday.
