Michael Bidwill doesn’t have anything new to report on Larry Fitzgerald’s future, but the Cardinals owner did say he’s spoken multiple times with Patrick Peterson and he’s hopeful a deal can be made that allows for the veteran cornerback to return for the 2021 season and possibly beyond.
Peterson, who turns 31 in July, is set to become an unrestricted free agent next month after playing out the final year of his five-year, $70 million contract extension. In his 10 seasons with the Cardinals, Peterson has been selected to the Pro Bowl eight times and named first-team All-Pro three times.
