The Cardinals and former Chiefs safety Tyvon Branch have reached agreement on a two-year contract.
The deal is worth a maximum of $7 million, with $5 million fully guaranteed.
An unrestricted free agent, Branch, 6-feet and 200 pounds, played seven years for the Raiders before spending last season with Kansas City. He played in 16 games last season but started only one, so it’s unknown if the Cardinals view him as a starter or a backup.
Cardinals safety Rashad Johnson is an unrestricted free agent and reportedly has drawn interest from the Raiders.
