Brentson Buckner has been selected as a head coach for the 92nd East-West Shrine Game on Jan. 21 in St. Petersburg, Florida.
Buckner, who has been the Cardinals’ defensive line coach since 2013, will lead the East squad in an All-Star game designed to raise the profile of college players aiming to get drafted.

NFL teams that missed the playoffs nominated deserving assistant coaches for consideration to lead the teams, and Buckner was chosen along with Vikings defensive coordinator George Edwards. Both coaches will need to fill out a 12-person staff for the game.
