The Cardinals will deploy a new, multi-million dollar power generator when they report to training camp a week from Tuesday at State Farm Stadium. It’s guaranteed to provide optimum energy and radiant flux and when the intensity and efficiency isn’t there, this machine will shine the light and make things flow again.
No wonder it’s called “Watt.”
That’s Watt as in veteran defensive end J.J. Watt, the former three-time NFL Defensive Player of the Year whom the Cardinals signed to a two-year, $28 million free-agent contract on March 1. The Cardinals began drawing big returns on their investment as soon as Watt began participating — and leading — the team in offseason workouts and a small string of mini-camps.
