While it may seem crazy, there is some belief that the Arizona Cardinals will elect to cut five-time All-Pro WR DeAndre Hopkins, per Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated.
Breer stated on the Greg Bedard podcast:
“Some teams think that the Cardinals are going to cut him; they think the Cardinals will wind up cutting him.”
The reason for this is simple, Hopkins is 30 years old, has played only 19 games in the past two seasons, and whatever team acquires him, will owe Hopkins around $20 million.
“There’s nobody who was willing to take on Hopkins’ contract and pay the Cardinals’ initial asking price.
