The Arizona Cardinals will not place a franchise tag on linebacker Haason Reddick, per a report from ESPN's Adam Schefter on Tuesday.
Reddick, 26, had a breakout season in 2020, tallying a team-leading 12.5 sacks and 16 quarterback hits. This came after the team declined to pick up the fifth-year option on the rookie deal for their 2017 first-round draft pick.
Reddick's status seemed further up in the air after the team signed defensive end J.J. Watt last week. Watt, 31, is a three-time Defensive Player of the Year and will join a healthy Chandler Jones in the Cardinals' revamped pass rush.
